Before he moves to NYC, see cabaret singer Clint Strindberg in his farewell concert series, blending hilarious camp comedy and classical favs, from Edith Piaf and Satie to Noel Coward and Gilbert and Sullivan.
Clint Strindberg originally wanted to be a podiatrist because they made lots of money. But when he realised that being a podiatrist meant he'd have to touch feet all day, he quickly changed his mind and set his sights on becoming a performer, torturing his parents with renditions of every song and play he knew. He is very grateful to them for having been either deaf or patient, and allowing him to pursue this goal.
Clint is a cabaret performer from the Swan Valley, who also happens to be a classically trained singer, courtesy of WAAPA. He is also proud to be the owner and face of Cheeky Chic Cabaret- a cabaret troupe which specialise in the music of Edith Piaf, French Jazz, musicals, contemporary and classical.
"Clint Strindberg is powerful, confronting and wonderful. Thank you so much."
- Val Downig
Clint's recent professional engagements include:
The Award Winning Tom Lehrer Review, 'And Evening Wasted.'
as Runner-up in the Julie Michael Musical Cabaret Prize,
composer and actor in 'Eileen' (Natural Wings)
Beau Brummel in English Eccentrics (directed by Stuart Maunder).
Sellem the Auctioneer in 'The Rake's Progress.'
2011 marked the end of Clint's time at WAAPA, where he has been studying classical singing with Patricia Price. He then was accepted into an Italian Summer School for Bel Canto where he was also able to work with renowned director, Chuck Hudson.
He has recently returned from New York City where he has been learning with top vocal teachers and coaches, and will soon journey back there to live and to prepare for two music school auditions.
"I have never seen anything like this performance!"
- Heather Travers
On the 17th and 18th of Feb, Clint will perform his last concerts in his beloved Perth, and he so looks forward to sharing them with you, in One Last Hurrah!
