Lionel Pierson

Lionel attended Churchlands Senior High School from years 9 through 12, playing percussion in most of the school's ensembles. He also undertook TEE examinations on both percussion and jazz piano. On the other hand, Lionel never missed an opportunity to show his enthusiasm towards his passion: singing. He received the prestigious Churchlands Choral Society Award upon graduating from Churchland's music program for outstanding leadership and participation in choral work. Indeed, over the years he took an active role in the school's Senior Choir, Chorale and Barbershop ensemble and has also taken a lead role in the school musical in 2007, "Queen" and Ben Elton's "We Will Rock You".

Lionel is currently a member of Vocal Evolution, the WA Youth Chorale, the WA Philharmonic Orchestra, and 3 Men & A Tenor, the latter of which received the silver medal in the youth section at the National Barbershop Competition in Sydney last year. He also performed with the WA Charity Orchestra, (WACO) in January this year, which raised $10,000 for Princess Margaret Hospital for Children.
